Need swift advice please. On WG water in tranny @#$& up.

Lucky, I had tonnes of loose gravel to shovel over the flames. There is vid. Waiting to get it.



Now choc milk in tranny.






Verdict/investigations report: Water sucked into tranny through breather.
20 minutes later ATF throffed out of dipstick, pouring down over the hot RHS catalytic converter. Flames.



Question are: Can I save this tranny by flushing it a few times tomorrow? What's the best way to flush it?

I'd really appreciate any tranny saving advice, oh wiser than me gurus, please.

Not being a tranny expert, watery oil in the torque converter may be difficult to flush out. Some clutch pack material on much older transmissions was adversely affected by moisture. Don't know if that is the case with modern trannys.

Yes, three mechanics, that were with our group today, think it's a 50/50 chance it could be ok.

Do you, or anyone else think using ordinary ATF 4 to flush it a few times, then use the proper Mopar ATF in the end would be ok?

How far did you drive it after.

Fill it with the fluid it normally uses. Disconnect one tranny cooler line. With help, start the car and as fluid drains out of cooler line refill at same pace. FLush it with plenty of fluid. If OK after that drive it and change fluid again.
