General consensus is to take the stop light signal from the trailer wiring harness - all the way back to the controller.
You have to run wires anyway.
Power direct from the battery via a circuit breaker.

Both our WK2s have been wired this way to P3s mounted in the cubby with no issues.

It's only taken 18 months but I have finally finished mounting my brake controller.

For various reasons I decided to mount it in a different spot to most other people.

Cheers,

Your knee airbag is behind there.

True but the controller sits above the topmost level of the knee airbag cover. The knee airbag should still be effective but I'm hoping never to need it (fingers crossed).

I also have a plan B for the controller mount should it be necessary

Cheers,

Hi mate - I'm not far from you - can you advise who your guy is so I can contact him for mine please?
Cheers.

Hey all..... first post.
After finding this post (which had great info) I can confirm that using the Trailer plug Stop Light wire is the way to go for fitting a Redarc controller. I mounted the unit under the gear lever console cover after seeing this job being done by someone on youtube.
