Default JK heater not working!

Hi all, just after some direction: my 2013 JKU's AC heater is no longer heating. Have checked all fuses, coolant, and blend door actuators (as per google) to no avail. I can't be the only person with this problem, can anyone point me to a forum thread that references this problem please? As opposed to CRD oil leaks, KK fuel issues, or 96 XJ aircon issues......no disrespect intended but forum search function is driving me nuts! As always, many thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Cheers,

Chewy

The 2013 still uses engine heat for the cabin, doesn't it? In the 3.8 there are 2 pipes that run coolant from the thermostat to the cabin heater & back. Do they get hot?

Could it have become blocked?

My 2013 JK heater stopped working a month ago for no apparent reason. My mechanic was able to diagnose that it was a failed motor that opened the vent to allow heat in the cabin. I think the mechanic used a laptop to test the system and detect what the issue was. Anyways the failed motor was replaced with a 2nd hand part & all good now!

May be the door actuator is not getting a signal from the temp control.

Same problem in my 2012, if I hit the AC button the light flashes and goes out. It's actually stuck in AC though and no heat can come. Seemed like it might be the vent issue but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I do have a code reader, maybe that can tell me something?

Where is the blend door actuator on a 2011 RHD JK please? Mine has stopped blowing hot air. It happened when I first got it SH and the dealer got it fixed. The mechanic said that all that had happen is something had become disconnected. So trying to figure out where that might have happened so I can try and fix it myself.

Cheers.
