Just had a look at the list of compatible Wranglers on AlfaOBD and it starts at 2008.
Mine being an April 2007 built by Daimler Chrysler would that be any different ?

Hmm, maybe not a good idea then.
You can test it before purchasing the app. I can't remember the names of the other awesome apps out there, there's another one similar for Jeeps too, hopefully someone will chime in

I have an '08 JKU. For reading brake codes, I got a Bluedriver. Works well & seems to scan all modules, but only pairs with their software so cannot be used with Torque or the like. Their site says it works with diesels from 2007 on in Aus.

OBD JScan is a good one and starts from 2007 models onwards, ALPHA OBD is the other one but not sure from what year that covers.
I have downloaded both apps and paid for them about 60 bucks each and an OBD bluetooth reader from Jaycar for another 60ish Buckaroos and that will cover nearly every thing you need for handy money.

Default Thanks all..

Thanks people, some good ideas in that thread... I have gone with a MX+ link (ordered from Amazon) and will get the AlphaOBD app, which looks pretty good from the reviews..
Thanks again.

One of our great members did a thread on how to make a laptop into a DBR3/2 code reader etc. Just need an old laptop. Its a bit of an involved process but you end up with the best of all code readers.
