Default got a idea.

i have a idea and its mainly for the people in charge here but all of you let me know what you think.

i wave to jeeps all the time and dont get much back (poor me) anyway what if the mods gave us all a ausjeep sticker that we stick at the top middle of our windscreen so that we can see straight away if they are a member here or not.

obviously dont send one to everyone but if they ask then give them one and personally i love this site but i am not going to pay to advertise it

just my thought see how long this stays open for

buying the stickers is what helps keep this forum running i have them all over my rig except the windscreen as i am still waiting for that one but when it arives it will take pride of place
a. letting people i am a member and proud jeeper
b. advertising the site so more people join
c. if more people join more people buy stickers and that helps keep my favorite site running
and if you look on the portal there are small free stickers available

If you don't want to buy a sticker to advertise it - then consider a donation (as denoted by the trail rated badges).
Really running a website like this isn't free - even thought the admin and mods donate their time.
Sponsors help - but really it's more than fair for members to give back a little - especially when you consider the information shared & contained can often save many hundreds

You might be surprised at how many forums charge members to be able to use services like posting/veiwing images or using the search.
So IMHO reach into your pocket & reinvest the $10 for a sticker and be proud to be part of it.

I first became aware of this website through a sticker on some blokes truck. I checked out the site, loved it and joined.

I have four stickers on my truck as I'm proud to be a member and I think they look cool!

Buy a sticker you tightarse!!!

Pity we don't get a similar icon (maybe smaller) for donating in the form of a sticker purchase though....

your not paying to advertise, your paying to keep the thing running. and if you saw how much those stickers are to make they are probably making SFA off it anyway, stop being a tight ass and buy em..

I

its not a matter of being a tight ass.

like you said you came on here because of a sticker you saw now imagine if everyone had a sticker how many more people will see it and join.
then how many more donations and things you can get from everyone.

i got the idea from a fishing forum i am in when i joined about 3 years ago i was the 286th person to join. they gave me a sticker and i think a hat when i joined. i will be honest i never used the hat but i put the sticker on my car. today that same forum has over 15000 members including some big fishing names in australia. i dont think its a bad investment to give members a sticker to advertise there site. the more the name gets around the bigger the sponsors get to get on the site.

like the saying goes you have to spend money to make money.
