The factories the apple computers come out of have much stricter quality control. Please don't assume that a main board is a main board just because it have the same model number. Built quality and components used in these systems is everything.

Or you could build a quality computer for a quarter of the price.

I would have to say no because a big bunch of corporate computers are still running on Windows XP so I would not consider it outdated just yet. Though when you look at the time by which it has already grown, I would not be surprised if most of them will be taking the jump soon and switch to Windows 7, though nothing really current with that. I just think that they are not making it resource friendly enough to merit them upgrade notes.

ok here goes my opinion i have been using pc's since before i could walk comodore's amega's iv used win 95, 98, xp, vista and seven.

xp is by far the best of the lot!.
i am currently running windows seven wich is way better than vista!! but still not as user friendly as xp (i have to use 7 as the programs and games i use wont be compatible with win xp) i just find simple tasks like on xp where u have a software issue u could just go in to the bias and tell the computer that its only a windows 98 when using set program and BAM instant compatibility, this seems much more difficult with windows vista, 7 and im sure windows 8 will be worse still its kinda like cars every year they get more and more plastic and the ability to work on them diminishes every year!

im sure ill eventually get the hang of windows 7 but that still doesnt change the fact that it alone takes up like 10% of my hard drive and 2Gig of my ram and that the layout simply isnt as good and xp apart from software compatibility with newer games/programs i dont see any advantages from upgrading.

i dont like apple period.
everyone loves them bloody iphones even tho the android phones are better and cheaper and the only reason people buy iphones over the samsung galixy and the like is because if u buy an iphone it makes u

I just updated to the windows 8 developer preview. I think xp is now outdated. Metro looks and at the start it is very annoying and slow but now im used to it its awesome and when new metro apps are released it will be even quicker to do things. But luckily it still retains a desktop and functionality of using non metro programs so it is still just as useful as windows 7 and xp. Just the simple things like internet are made heaps faster and less cluttered.
Id say wait till windows 8 is released and upgrade to it. Wouldnt bother with betas or anything for anyone but the most techy. Still very buggy and not very nice.
