Two commonly used grommets:
One on the driver's side, up and to the right of the accelerator that comes out just below the brake booster - an unfolded coat hanger fed through from inside is a big help to locate
Another that's a bit easier to access is on the passenger side under the glove box if you pull back the carpet - comes out below the blower/mixer assembly.
Ahh I understand what you meant about the drivers seat now. I thought you were saying run it past under the driver's seat once I fed it through from the engine bay. All good. I'll look for those grommets

Nothing to pull apart, that’s just how messy it is up under the driver footwell!

It’s definitely a bit easier to access the grommet drover showed, but this is an option if you don’t want to cross over the engine bay, or if your setup in the rear is and the driver’s side and don’t want to have to cross back over once you get there as well

no need to have anything in the engine bay . In my 2014 i ran cable straight from the battery to the rear where i had my battery and dcdc charger in the spare wheel well . i was running a rear tyre carrier so could put it there .

Simple run from under the drivers seat to the rear of the car .

I also ran straight from the battery under the drivers seat into the channel under the door sill scuff plates then out into the boot, 50A fuses both ends. I have a second battery inside the spare tyre, and then also run out to the trailer anderson through a grommet in the spare tyre well. I'm just using a VSR installed next to the main battery and haven't had any drama's so far charging all four batteries (main, secondary and dual lithiums in the camper via a Redarc BMS30).

Okay thank you. I'll just have a look to see where I can connect it.

Thank you as well. Yeah, I'll take a look under the seat and see how the wiring works. Thank you.

I ended up going from the battery under the bonnet, across the back of the engine bay along the shielding along the back - there's a nice plastic lining there, across to the right (looking straight at the engine) to the passenger side drain then through to the cabin from there. I ran cable under the false floor along the side of the door to the back seat and tucked the end with an anderson plug under the seat where someone would sit and place their feet behind the front passenger seat. Hides away nicely and easy to plug into as required.
