2008 Jk wrangler 16000km's clutch gone!

Jeep assist ended up picking up the car today. Local jeep dealer at hallam is being helpful as usual "mate your clutch works, there just not a lot of feel" I then proceeded to tell him what was wrong with it (thought it would save them a lot of hassle of doing their job). Then the helpfulness continued with not sure when we can get to it. always good to see there looking after you when something unexpected goes wrong and puts your car off the road!

JK07 and I have both had this exact same issue with our slave cylinder failing... I've been through 4 of them so far... seems to be ok now.

Don't think your actual clutch can't go at 16,000 kms though... mine did, jeep told me to get faaaaarrrrkkked that they wouldn't cover it because it was a general wear and tear item.

I kicked, whinged and objected, appealed to the Chrysler national customer care manager etc to no joy. The dealer ended up doing the right thing and meeting half the cost of the repair - still had to pay for parts myself.

lesson - get your clutch checked when doing service because my 2008 JK did do one that quickly!
