Default WK2 Grand Cherokee 2011-2012-2013 V62 fuel pump/relay recall

WK2s Years 2011-2012-2013 petrol and diesel have had three world wide safety recalls P54 and RO9 for failure of fuel pump and or relay. The early recall fix consisted of fitting an external relay outside the TIPM These are constantly still failing ,resulting in stalling when driving and or hard to start or no start situations. In Nov 2019 FCA America issued another world wide safety recall V62 re still failing fuel pumps and or relays.NO FCA V62 recall notices have yet been issued in Australia or NZ regarding this ongoing dangerous situation.Excuse working on a fix.!! Today I have emailed the ACCC Safety recalls page re this ongoing problem .They are aware of the earlier recalls..I might add that the TIPMs on these vehicles may also be the source of other problems due to failure of other internal relays.

I would be interested to know what has changed on the later models as this doesn't seem to be an issue.....they changed the TIPM ?

Think FCA realized that the internal electronic relays etc in TIPM not up to spec. This was also happening in the JKs ,GC petrols as well.

I think I did a workshop manual comparison between the earlier models and mine, just can't recall what i found, think I got sidetracked following a circuit and ended up getting lost chasing fan relays which didn't exist or something.......
Just sell it BJ and get a new V8,lol,lol.

No electronics at all, what bliss. Just fit a nice padded roll bar ('cos they tip over) and away you go
