Change Oil Indicator Reset

So it's not working... WTF?

Press button twice to "run" without touching break pedal. Push accelerator to floor 3 times within 10 seconds.

Nope - still showing the change oil indicator!

Thoughts? This is bloody annoying!

So evidently the wrong instructions are in our manual. Our vehicle's reset by the following:

1. Cycle the ignition to the "ON/RUN" position (Do not start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it fully depressed for at least 30 seconds.
3. Press and release the brake pedal six times while holding the accelerator pedal pressed.
4. Perform one ignition OFF-ON cycle, start the engine and verify that the reminder has been reset.

At least in the JK it is still just "Ignition on, throttle 5 (or maybe 3, but 5 worked for me the one time I had to do it), times, ignition off"

Yeah pretty friggin poor that the manual doesn't have the correct instructions for the car it's in. This difference is ONLY in the export diesel models. CRAZY!

I just had 10K service performed and according to the dealer papers the oil change interval was reset, although, I did not have a change oil reminder appearing on the screen.

The oil life still showing at 57% and despite my attempts to reset it following the outlined above procedure it would not do that.

I mean I can replace transfer case and what not, but clearly I fail to reset oil life indicator. What do I do wrong here?

What I found with mine was the aftermarket floor mat was preventing the accelerator pedal from reaching full travel which affected the reset procedure. Once I removed the mat & re did the procedure I was able to reset it.

All right guys. I had it figured out now.

The above are NOT the correct instructions for 2015 WK2 Diesel. These don't work.

To reset oil life indicator back to 100% you need to do the following.

1. Cycle the ignition to the "ON/RUN" position (Do not start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal 3 times and keep it fully depressed.
3. Press and release the brake pedal six times while holding the accelerator pedal pressed.
4. Perform one ignition OFF-ON cycle, start the engine and verify that the reminder has been reset.
