Default Copper brass ADRAD

Hi there,
I am having trouble with the Adrad radiator in my 1994 XJ and it is only 2 years old and it has been back under warranty 3 times to be repaired at were the core tubes solder into the tank base. I keep my cooling system in goood shape with regular flushes and coolant change on a annual bases. The cooling system operates fine but the radiator core is made from very poor material. The repairers have 50 years experience between them but the solder pulls away from the tubes. I am bloody over this. Am I the only one having this problem?. Time to go back to the old valiant VG and the radiator in that is a Aussie natrad core. Been going for 27 years and still going well on even the hottest summer days. PLEASE BRING BACK QUALITY. Any other type of radiators out there that have a good core ?
Thanks
Ben.

I have had major problems with the cooling system on my XJ and replaced everything if it needed it or not on the front of the motor.

And all hoses and total flush and gearbox rebuild after my rad tranny cooler shit itself and pumped coolant into my auto and stuffed it.

I have put a copper/brass rad in from Repco (I can get the part number if you need it) mine sits halfway between 70 and 100 and does not move and that's with A/C on all the time.

Rad has only been in for a short time though.

I once split 2 radiators in 2 months on another vehicle I have, but it was not a fault of the radiator, it was due to stress put on it from chassis twisting. I ended up using bigger softer mounts, and to date its done another 100,000km with no issues and the same brand of cheap radiator. Note sure about your Xj, but if it does alot of hard rough road work the flex in the chassis maybe causing the issues.

That was my first thought. I'm pretty sure mine is sitting on rubber feet and the 2 nuts on top are not pulling excessively on the rad.

thank you for the replies,
I come back from phils radiators this morning and he said that adrad are the only guy's that still make a dimmple tube core(this core is made here in Australia I have checked) and he can build me one.
we have come to the conclusion that the copper is contaminated when they are sitting in the factory waiting assembly.Copper is dark in colour and when assembled the solder does not take to the copper and that allows moisture and other contaminents in and they call it dry rot.
using the tanks and gatting Phil to assemble it I know there are only good clean copper and 60/40 solder, he is one of the last to use this stronger solder as most us 70/30 solder.
Thanks
Ben
