Ok, this is how the heirarchy works...

1) Willys jeep drivers are kings. They are the dominate Jeepers. Anyone and everyone must kneel before them because they are royalty.

2) CJ's are an icon that no-one dares treat with disrespect. Anyone seen driving a CJ must be a true connoisseur as anyone behind the wheel of one know the true feeling of the good ol' days of jeepin'. All other jeeps made after CJ's may not make eye contact with the owners of CJ's unless invited to do so.

3) YJ drivers (of which there are only several in australia) are a weird bunch. They have something which looks like a jeep, but doesn't have proper headlights, and as they are a minority in australia they are not well respected and are treated as somewhat of a sideshow. They are aggressive and tend to dismiss other jeeps as missing their certain rare flair. Do not approach a YJ owner unless you like to be mauled.

4) The TJ is known for thumbing it's nose at technological advancement. In a world of independant suspension and large roomy interiors the TJ held onto it's aggricultural roots. TJ owners have recently lost their reign of ownership of the world. Once leaders of the jeep world they grasp at their throne with their last dying breath. Although not allowed to wave or make eye contact at Willy's, CJ's or YJ's unless contact is permitted, they still have their own secret but powerful wave and/or nod to each other due to their strong numbers. TJ owners look at JK owners with disgust as the JK as robbed the TJ of it's rightful place in the world.

5) JK owners are made up of 2 types - purists and opportunists. The purists are not new to the jeep world, their JK ownership is to gain rear doors for the family or to seek jeep refuge in a modern vehicle. The opportunists are those which like the idea of a jeep but will never use it for it's true purpose - but there is hope that they will become a purist. JKs are now the dominate force to be dealt with however as with every other new model of jeep the previous model will try to shoot it down with every chance. JK drivers are not allowed under any circumstance to wave or nod at previous models unless authorised to do so.

Acknowledgment of Cherokees/Patriots/Grands etc by a wave or nod is forbidden. This is only allowed for real jeeps.

Remember JK owners, your time will come. You will be left out in the cold when the next Wrangler comes along and slaps you down from your pedestal. Mwuahaha!
