I dont know if I rate these supposedly indestructable components.
For example, I bought a set of Haultech CVs to run in the Jee-Q and manage to break both of them (not at once). For the price of them, I could buy 3 sets of inners and CVs.
And those that know how I drive know I don't drive with a lot of right foot.
I'd be keen to see a TRULEY stronger CV and axle set available for GQ diffs.

From what I have used and seen. This is for a dana 44/9inch
Std unis and axles: both break
std unis and heavy duty axles (warn): both break
CTM unis and Std axles: none broken yet
CTM and Warn axles: none broken yet.
From what I have been told a Heavy duty uni will let go/ break a uni befor a std axle will,But they say a h/d axle wont break. but it will flex then retain its shape.ie so you can replace the std uni. So they Say
From what I have seen, when you break a uni with a H/D axle under noise you break the axles aswell, both inner and outer.
STD axles seem to last with CTMs, We have them running in two comp jeeps down here and they havent broken yet.

What about CVs?
I just seem to always be trying to get hold of more spare CVs and axles for my rig. Are there any options better than the Haultech CVs?

Broke a CV at Menai the first time out, inner wasn't damaged. I suspect it was due to incorrect wheel bearing/stub axle setup. Sorted that out. That one was a Haultech, on the long side.
Broke one at Berridale in December. Was a second hand factory one that I got from a wrecker. Shredded the axle as well. I think it happened because the rig was on a 45 degree side angle, full lock, lockers on and I think one of the Swamper lugs grabbed a control arm.
Broke one last weekend. Climbed up ontop of a massive rock, and on teh way down on the other side, jammed the front left wheel in between the rock I was on and another rock, it let go after 4 or 5 tries to move. That was the Haultech on the short side. Have yet to repair it, but I suspect the axle is also shredded due to me continuing to try and drive to get out of the position I was in.
So 3 CVs and axles since the end of October.
