Default Foot operated "hand" brake

Hi gang

Am in the market for an Overland model but have been hanging off waiting for the 2019 release in the hope that the foot operated "hand" brake would be replaced by a hand operated hand brake or an electronic version.

Anyone know if that's on the cards???

Cheers

What does “Disassociated 8.4" touchscreen radio” mean?

You get used to the foot brake. No one likes it at first, but it has a very reassuring 'hold' that's more effective than most handbrakes I've had. Will admit that an electric brake would be a bit less cumbersome if they ever get around to it.

Electronic handbrakes can be a little tricky in offroad situations...

The screen isn't fixed to the head unit, so the big box that makes up the head unit can be separate from the screen and just runs a wire to the display so it can be mounted in a less bulky dash.

Probably won't make any real difference to the appearance in the WK2, but means dash layouts can be slimmer when they do redesign....
