Default Hand winch for incline assistance?

I don't do any serious offroad but sometimes I run into situations where I hesitate if I should take on it or not because I don't have a winch mounted in my Jeep.
For example, in the fishing trip last weekend there was a pretty steep slope down to the lake, through which I would've descended down, but I wasn't sure if I would've be able to climb up again... We ended up leaving the Jeep on top of the hill and hauling all the fishing/camping equipment on foot ~300 meters ...3 times.
I was wondering if a 2500lbs/1100kg hand winch would help climbing the hill? I was thinking: one guy driving in 4-LO, and another cranking the winch anchored to a tree. There are lots of trees alongside the path, so anchoring wouldn't be a problem. Maybe also add a snatch block, for more pulling power...
I'm thinking about this type of winch – strap type, because I'm kinda scared by cable winches... I know there are also "come-alongs", but they usually have only a few meters of pull and are less convenient/slower to operate.

Here's the hill/path, unfortunately the incline can't really be perceived in it..:

Would take hours to hand winch up that hill. Just lower your tyre pressures to 20 psi and it should crawl up in Lo. Oh and get yourself a 12v compressor to pump the tyres back up before you hit the road again.

Have you ever used a hand winch? They are seriously hard work. It would be easier to get your mates to push your Jeep back up it.

If you can walk it, you can drive it. As Big Dave said, lower your tyre pressures select 4LO and crawl back up.

Yeah, I understand it would be hell of a task to pull the car using just hand winch, I was just wondering if it would offer some insurance in case I lose traction due to incline at some point, so I can get moving again. (slowly going 4-LO when the tires are not bogged in + assistance from hand winch – seems like it should work in an incline, but I might think wrong...).
If I have nothing, and lose traction, it's game over for me, I would never ever reach the top again, and there are no other trails from that place – only the shore of the lake surrounded by dense forest

I was wondering if anyone tried recovering with that type of winch? I guess it's better to have at least that thing than nothing..

And yes, of course I would lower the tire pressure, I think it wouldn't be a problem to go as low as 10-15 psi as there are no big rocks and the trail is pretty much flat on that particular hill.

that's a boat trailer winch, it would be like using a rubber band as a fan belt only far more dangerous. Don't even think about it

You need beadlocks for that, 20+ on a rig like that

Not even "come-along"? I've seen many guys using those succesfully.
I've also seen that using Hi-lift as a winch is popular among offroaders, but to me it looks even more dangerous...
Well, that's why I'm asking in Expert tips forum, thanks for all the advices

I understand that pics dont show how steep things are, but if you are walking that you can drive it as others have said.

If you want a hand winch do it properly:

Years ago I had a Lada Niva with one of these - got me out of all kinds of crap. More useful than a mountedx winch - you can winch sideways, backwards, anywhere.

BUT, seriously a lot of work.
