It looks to me that you have it correctly engaged. If the Torque converter was not sufficiently inserted in the trans it would butt up hard against the flex plate before the trans fully matted with the engine.
Snow you can keep that I complain when the overnight temps drop to +5C in winter.

Ok. It allready grinded gears couple times during week. New starter motor didn't help. Needed 2-4 tryes to get it running. Seems that this is common fault on Jeeps. Mercedes don't suffer this symtoms. Maybe Mopar starter don't fully play whit Mercedes starter ring?

It could be that. The Jeep starter has a different tooth count if I remember correctly. I wonder if we could switch to a Mercedes starter, the mounting is the same.

But still, it's been ok for at least 13 years, if the second-hand flex plate I installed lasts 8 years I'm happy.
