Keeping it clean and tidy and shiny also keeps unwanted attention away.

Totally agree chris. But all the snake oil shit that you buy at 40 bucks a bottle fills the scratches and washes off in the next storm. Great for the time you want to sell it.
Clay bars on a wrangler? Seriously?

I agree it's wasted on a wrangler. On an XJ or grand though... totally worth it
Each to their own as usual, I like my rig looking sweet when on road and take pride in it. It's always paid off come resale.

Absolutely spot on!
Just because it's a wrangler doesn't mean you can't have pride in it looking good.
Besides, some sick people like me actually find looking after their cars by washing and detailing it therapeutic.

For those of you with a soft top or window tint use a product called Vuplex. It's a plastic cleaner/polish (it's also good on brake light lenses). It's an Australian version of Plexus which was developed to clean the canopies of fighter jets and also used on the space shuttle. It's the safest product to use on the inside of your tinted windows.
