Haha haha! An hour after writing this I missed a call from FCAA so the left a message saying "there is an update being tested at the moment but it will take a while and should be available some time this year".

HA! what a joke. well I hope they fix something soon. I cannot believe that a company could release software that "works via voice activation only" when there are plenty of people with speech impediments or cannot talk.
Absolute BS.

I have an update.. I was told on Friday the update is in rigorous testing and won't be available til well after mid year, but will include the fix and new maps. I questioned why it has taken 2 years to fix and he told me I wouldn't understand the issues.... I informed the guy with a very heavy Indian accent that I was an IT Manager that also manages a software development team and was also the beta tester for said software. He wasn't impressed when I advised my team would have been sacked 18 months ago if it were them working in that fix. He didn't have an answer for that.

Hey Dave, I doubt there has been, but I am curious as to your continued back and forth with these guys. Have you had any further feedback or news regarding this issue?

Your doubting is not in vain, unfortunately you are quite correct and still nothing for us down under yet. However since the updates are still slowly rolling out in the US I am not surprised we still don’t have them as they are usually a good few months before we see them.

I too have complained to both my dealer and to FCAA. The dealer quickly flicked the problem to FCAA. My enquiry to FCAA obviously fell on deaf ears as I have (not surprisingly) heard diddly squat from them.
