Sometimes I get this crazy idea buzzing in my head, about stuffing a 10.4L CAT 3208 paired with an Allisson in a WG.

Noone has ever done something like this.

It seems that no one has even put a Jeep 3.0L V6 into one and that makes sense to me, same breed, roughly the same size.

Instead there are LS1’s and similar.

The main part of the track doesn't open again until end of April due to bushfires season. Best time is July-August, it's nice and crisp, not too busy, and slightly camp to keep dust down. Long weekends are out though, it's ridiculously busy

Weather wise, it's similar here.

Best times are from Jun-Oct. Heavy rains in Nov-Dec and Apr-May.

Summer is wayyy too hot.

Hello Jean,

Hands on work has stopped. Correspondence with various suppliers has begun.
Existing 4.7 isn't going back in.

Another make engine is going in. With matching auto and probably a strengthened NP 231 with a couple of mods. Keeping the tc as simple as possible.

Stand alone aftermarket engine and tranny control. Full manual control of tranny is highly desired for me, with full auto override at flip of lever/switch.

Fortunately, I've been chosen for a big building project starting early next year to pay for it.

To the Jeep purists, sorry, but not sorry, because with the amount of aftermarket support with regards to electronic programming, parts, spares, knowledge, mods, experience with the chosen engine/transmission...Choice was obvious. In my case.

The saying goes something like, 'The hardest engine swap to do in a Jeep, is a different Jeep engine'.

Unfortunately for some, there won't be a build thread, or much more info on it in this forum. There have been a handful of nanny posters in here who have absolutely ruined that chance. If only they went to the shop for more tampons instead of posting those few times there'd be more actual interesting threads and posts in this forum. The threads might even outnumber the 'Hey, I've just bought a set of tyres that are 5mm skinnier than standard. Is it ok to put them on for street use...'

Anyway...

TL,DR Hopefully June 2018, non Jeep motor will be shuttling us through the mud, and jungle nearby once again.

Hoobz, in another hobby of mine they are called rivet counters! A pain there too, ruining the place for others.
What the hell does it matter? Have fun! [emoji41]
