have you seen the supermax rope?
http://www.nobles.com.au/products.aspx?doc_id=1561
i used this stuff years ago, when synthetic rope was voodoo magic, and everyone said that it would be no good..especially on a low mount. I ran it on a low mount in several comps and never had any drama. As far as i know the same pieces are still being used by the guys i sold them too.

So what makes (most) people think dynamica is worth the time of day?

have you been around multiple types of ropes? used them yourselves?
i would be interested to hear.

dynamica's splicing is rough. overall finish is crap and has a poor tollerance to uv.

ian whats wrong with amsteel/ master pull. made buy sampson which are one of the biggest rope makers in the world.

plasma is better than the dynamica , but still costs a great deal more.

seems that qlders have been brainwashed into thinking its good. or has a mate of a mate who got them a good deal.

just wanted to dig up and old thread on rope..

have read through this one. and it seems i have a couple of choices, plasma or Dynamica(aka dyneema)-- whats the verdict here, they seem to be similar priced. (all rope ive seen goes from 10-20 bucks per meter depending on thickness.)

Couple questions, with a Warn Ti winch. how much rope will i comfortably able to hold approx.. 30,35,40 meters?? dont want the winch to packed up either, (but there have been times a little extra cable length would of been very helpfull out on the trail.)

from what ive been reading, there is 8,10,12 mill choices, and they varie in costs.. figured 10ml would be a nice medium, but is it worth going 12 mill??

Looking to purchase soon, so anyone who has good experince with rope, or advice on which type to get, would be great
cheers

Any feedback on the Ebay ropes for $280-$310?
28m, 9mm, 10mm has anyone tried these?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DYNEEMA-WINCH...item255a3e980e

Found a supplier of these today at a very reasonable price.
