Default Front DBA brakes

Was wondering if it is worth looking at DBA Gold (Crossed drilled) rotors and Bendix Heavy duty pads for the front ... anyone running with these. Jase

Never ever run cross driller rotors on a 4wd unless it never sees mud. The mud gets into the holes and expends cracking the rotor. They also do not give you any braking advantage ( no extra mechnical leverage as only a bigger rotor can give that ) unless you are getting brake fade now from over heating them and then slots will help cool them.

On the rear brakes I am still trying to get them done before I leave for our end of year trip. But the place that will be selling them, and I am waiting on to program the CNC mill to do the spacers, is flat out right now. They have even taken on extra staff to try and cope as it is going gang busters right now. I have a prototpye backing plates machined and was working today with a company that does the braided steel brake lines as I want to be able to fit these without any hard line changing or modifications at all. I know how I want to do it but they have to find out if the parts I want exist!
I think I will get the brakes done but the handbrake cables and brackets might be the hold up as we are getting too close to the end of the year. I will run without a handbrake over the break as rarely use mine anyway if it comes to that but dont think you guys would do the same while waiting for it to be completed and they might not sell incomplete kits anyway?
