Do the back brakes on these XJ's always suck? I went out and bought new wheel cylinders and shoes for mine thinking that they were stuffed as it just never braked real well as it always felt like the front was sort of nosediving and that it was only really stopping at the front (burnouts had a little something to do with it) and to my surprise, my mechanic mate who pulled it apart said its all just been done. He deglazed it and measured up the drums and everything and it all checked out perfect. Im thinking it might need a brake fluid flush. I hate having a soft pedal and thats what it has and my mums XJ doesnt... hmm weird.
I suppose I better get some sway bar bushes too. Damn thing sounds like an old xf falcon at times when it creaks.

Yep they have always sucked and why this week I have been working on a rear disc brake conversion using the lastest Falcon parts.
Even my current conversion using EA Flacon parts got rid on the soft pedal and even more so when I switched to the BA twin piston fronts.
