Default G'day

G'day everyone, just signed up on this forum.

I've been looking at jeeps for some time now and they look awesome offroad, ever since my 4x4 van died i've been shattered and looking for something just as capable offroad that was also cheap

http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/o...8/Car022-1.jpg

I live in Geraldton and have seen a couple of jeeps for sale although a tad out of my price range.

Well if anyone can give me any advice or any information on jeeps at all it would be most helpfull.

in the meantime i'm going back to stripping my van of all the 4x4 extras!

Seeing as this is a jeep forum i would like your opinions on both of these i've found on gumtree for sale. Both look really good and are close to budget. Both seem to have plenty of extras i want like a bullbar decent sound spotties winch and both are soft top. Although in Gero this coud be a huge problem...

Tell me what you think anyway?

This ones a bit older but has the bullbar towbar and good sound system, also within budget. Not sure if it has windows though looking at those doors! Still gotta go ave a look closer but for 2003 with only 120,000km odd looks good!

This ones a bit more but has ALL the goodies like winch, bullbar towbar stereo looked ok, spotties too, and the lift kit bigger tyres sweet as! and the suspension looked mad as too! engine looks in good cond from a top view maybe well used lol but hey whatever i buy will cop the same treatment and it's newer. Only problem is way above my budget!

So what do you guys think on both of those? or should i go looking in Perth?

Ha! for real your on this site, yeh man i came and sussed it out today. I logged on here seeing if anyone can give me more info on jeeps before i commit to a sale.

But now i know your on the forum maybe here is the best place to ask away saving lengthy phone calls if your at work

I'll ask the questions anyway.

What is towing capacity?
Was the speedo right at 60,000km odd i couldn't quite see through window
What sound system did you have in the jeep?
How do they handle on the highway for a light vehicle? much shake or wobble?
Was it petrol ir diesel i must have missed that

The rest engine and suspension looks right on for 4x4 driving, just a shame about the soft top hey.

Looove the maxxis bighorns! looks like something i'd well use that's for sure.

i'll aks more queries later.
