Hi all, since 1999 I've organised and co-ordinated this Go-Karting event just prior to the Aust F1 Grand Prix. This year I thought that some of the members from the 'ausjeepoffroad' community might want to come along. So here are the details, and the go-karting facility web-site. You're invited to race at the
annual GRAND PRIX GO-KART CHALLENGE 2007.
DATE: Wednesday 14th March 2007 (the day prior to the start of the Aust F1 Grand Prix)
TIME: 6:30pm - 8:30pm (drivers must be at the track no later than 6:00pm)
VENUE: ACE KARTS, 20 Carrington Dve, Sunshine (just north of Melbourne)

GT RACE FORMAT (95 laps)
10 minutes Practice Session
1 Lap Qualifying Shootout
Race #1 (15 minutes)
Race #2 (15 minutes)
Race #3 (15 minutes)
* There will be 10 minute breaks inbetween races to rehydrate and critique other drivers performances
COST: $135 which includes;
* Ace Karts Membership
* Driver Race Briefing
* Hire of 9hp Superkart
* Qualifying and Race Results Timesheets
* 60 minutes of track time (you will be exhausted by the end)
* Hire of Race Suit, Balaclava and Helmet
* Trophies, Prizes, and Certificates, (every driver gets a prize or two)
* Beer, Softdrinks & Snacks at the Presentation Function
* Please note that $10 has been added to the $125 "race fee" to cover the cost of refreshments, snacks, and prizes for the Presentation Function.
There is NO profit made from this event. Fun is the name of the game.
DRIVER LIST: Maximum of 22 (Go-Kart novices welcome)
NOMINATE: At this thread. Nominations close at the end of Feb '07, or when the 22 driver places are filled, whichever comes first.

LATE MAIL: Not only will there be individual awards and prizes, but we will also have a Team Award. Teams consist of 2 drivers, maybe a few members here can form a couple of 'ausjeepoffroad' teams?
