Default Wife and I want a down under vacation

Probubly a few years out but thought I'd post up to the locals and find out what the must see's are? Bet there are lots of them. Were not kids looking for parties but were not out to pasture either and have had some fun nights in Cabo and Vegas. Any big wheeling get togethers? I think we'd have to see the great barrior reef and might even be intrested in some type of cruse ship trip... Anyway just thought I'd see what you folks would recomend.

If you get a chance to hire a 4wd and go to Fraser Island and maybe stay at the Kingfisher Resort for a few days go for it you won't regret it.

cheers

I agree too and would add the Kimberley Region in WA to the list.

north queensland is pretty cool, but its filthy humid hot and full of many unsavoury characters, their beaches are overated and you cant swim in them for most of the year

go to melbourne, go to the G and watch a game of aussie rules with 100,000 spectators, if you like the cosmo lifestyle - melbourne has the best nightlife, if the country is your thing, spend time in the vic high country or just go hardcore with the best tracks in the country
