I heard you guys comming up the hill, couldn't work out what the noise was..

300 something to one reduction sounds strange in the distance.

Stuck around and watched you guys climb the rocks we had just come down (the one where the black TJ did an endo).

Very impressive.. made it look too easy..

You must have to work hard to find trails hard enough to give you a challange..

Yeah, 385:1 crawl ratio or something stupid like that. I mostly use 3rd for all but the steepest rocks!

42's, portal gears, pretty good flex from the stock suspension + 11 inches of chassis flex. Finding tough tracks can be a challenge

Though I did get bogged in one of the mud pits earlier on in the day

It was funny, just after you guys left, I reckon everyone there was saying they wanted a mog..

I was impressed at how stable they were climbing the off camber steps. Must be some thing to do with the 11 inches of chassis flex!!!

Nice machines

Dunno, maybe:
It's a hassle to import one yourself.
There is a huge risk buying a vehicle overseas sight unseen.
Despite being awesome for the hard stuff, they are not good for much else.
Difficult to reverse park?

It's the best money I've ever spent

Tips?

Be patient!
If I was going to import another truck, I'd probably buy one from Expedition Imports (http://www.expeditionimports.zoovy.com/) .
A mate bought a Pinzgauer from him and it was spotless!

I wouldn't ship it in a container, I'd go roll on / roll off. Cheaper and faster.

Customs is easier than you think. http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=4371 has some good reading.

Once the truck is here in oz and you have the proper customs paperwork, getting rego is easy
