.. Yes...the option of colour coded flares would have been nice.. 'a la Sahara'. We had the choice with the TJ...so I'm at a loss on why the JK missed out for Australia. Even NZ got the coded flares !.

just paint the flares yourself... aint hard...

as for the bar, just order a US version bar, paint the sides and chrome the centre....

easy....

Having just done my first trip down narrow tracks with the sound of Ferns and plants dragging down the side of the jeeps paintwork - BOY AM I GLAD JEEP LEFT THE MUDGUARDS AS UNPAINTED PLASTIC - they obviously knew what jeeps were supposed to be used for.
My last vehicle was a Renault Scenic RX4 - that had the bottom half of the doors and the fenders covered with plastic guards- Brilliant, no scratches at all - no dick head could dent you car with their door or a shopping trolley , and a quick wipe over with a plastic treatment like 303 Aerospace protectant and it all stayed looking like new.

If you could buy clip on plastic covers for the doors on the jeep imagine how popular they would be - you could remain shiney on the street while enjoying the bush without damage

Hi Ride77 - yep i use the 303 Aerospace protectant on the Guards and the running boards - Its great stuff - not oily like Armourall tends to be and it has an SPF factor of 40 so it stops (i Hope ) the UV making the plastic brittle and fading it - I saw the guys on the US forum recommending it and thought i would give it a try - its great. The clay film came off the plastic guards really easy with a simple sponge after a trip off road - I am thinking of scrubbing the plastic shields under the guards too and then giving them a coat - maybe the road grime will hose off better there as well

Cheers - JBee
