Lightbulb VentureShield for paint protection on doors

My last vehicle was a Renault Scenic RX4 - that had the bottom half of the doors and the fenders covered with plastic guards- Brilliant, no scratches at all - no dick head could dent you car with their door or a shopping trolley , and a quick wipe over with a plastic treatment like 303 Aerospace protectant and it all stayed looking like new.

If you could buy clip on plastic covers for the doors on the jeep imagine how popular they would be - you could remain shiney on the street while enjoying the bush without damage
I get my new JK next month, and am thinking along the same lines as yourself: I just need something to protect the paint on the doors.

There is one product that I am considering for the doors, it is a clear plastic film that was originally developed for the rotor blades on helicopters.
Has anyone personally applied VentureShield to any of their vehicles?
Manufacturer web site is
http://www.venturetape.com/final/int...ustralasia.htm
Local installer is either
http://www.invisiblecarbras.com.au/
or
http://www.ozicozi.com.au/

Thanks,

Justin

totally agree mate. paint is expensive as are panels, and rust repair when paint is scraped off.

Cool Our new Xtreme (XHD) Bumper

Hi all,

Here's some pictures of our new Rugged Ridge XHD Bumper: (Now available/more info: http://ozadventure4x4.com.au/?q=node/27)

I've got to say that this is an awesome bumper system! Not only is it built extremely well, but the fit and finish is top notch too! It's certainly surpassed my expectations....

Sorry if anyone takes this as spamming, but I simply - I love it!

Everyone to their own, so don't take this as an insult, but IMHO that is extremely ugly.

Putting that aside - is it legal here in Oz? I thought you couldn't have a forward protruding bar like that... But I'm not an expert...

Hey kyro,

The stinger bar may not be legal as it sticks out, however the great thing about this bumper set up is that it is completely modular and therefore the stinger can be unbolted in 5 mins and a hoop put on instead - or just have nothing on.

When you have just the hoop on or no top on at all the big D rings similar to the Hummer also bolt on which I think look cool, as well as practical

Brettski, no insult taken mate - I think think Commodore's suck but I'm sure others will disagree...
