Default Gearbox hesitating

Hi all.
I have a 2015 gc Laredo diesel 8 speed. I have noticed over a long time that occasionally, and I mean occassionally like maybe once in a few weeks that the gearbox seems to take a few seconds to engage on start up first thing when cold. I put it in reverse gear to leave the garage and nothing seems to happen. I give the accelerator a quick tap and still nothing, and then it is like maybe a valve or something opens and all is well. It also happens in drive but I only experience this if not parked in the garage which is rare.
All gear changes are fine, I tow a caravan and transmission temperature is around a constant 93/94.
Any hints please.
Thanks

Some automatic transmissions suffer from converter drain back and the delayed engagement when sitting for a while cold. Most designs have an anti drain valve in the valve body to stop this phenomena but sometimes they still drain back.
The delay is the time for the converter to refill.

Thanks Classic Boy. Gees I hope that's all it is. I have taken it to the dealer twice now. They kept it overnight the first time but as I explained to them it may not happen in the morning as it is a random thing. It didn't happen and the next time I showed them a video of it happening. They unfortunately showed no interest and it took some persuasion to get them to note my concern on their records.
I am worried about it and hope that's all it is. Do you think that anti drain valve could be replaced at a transmission service without a big cost?

It is a replaceable part on many makes but some manufacturers will only supply a new valve body as the required part costing $$$$, it could cost anywhere between $500 and $5000 depending on what part will be supplied. If I was betting on what FCA Dealers charge I would put my money on the higher figure than a lower number.
