Looking at the fitting instructions of the ECB bullbar, it has integrated Recovery Points on the Mounting brackets. Those who have the ECB, how do you rate this recovery point over the Chiefs Front Recovery hooks.

I Already have the front recovery hooks, I guess this needs to go if I get an ECB Bull Bar.

Correct. I’ve used both and the ECB bar recovery points work well. No issues - just get an equaliser strap as always.

Ok so I have got the ECB.

I have relocated the front factory parking sensors onto the ECB. I get a lot of false alerts, even when it rains....

On most occasions I need to be very close to the front vehicle for it to detect the car(ie at the lights).

I figure its due to the bar being so solid?

Does anyone else get these interference?

First thing... did you paint them to match the black bar, or are they the original charcoal finish? I can't tell from the photo.

Cheers, Steve

Hi,

The bar was originally Black PCoated. I had the bar Re-P/Coated to Greyish.

The sensors were NOT repainted, remained oem color.

Hello imaz, I have a 75 anav model and fitted a TJM Alloy bar, they did cut away part of the front bumper to install, but the parking sensors were fitted and not painted all original parts except for new mounting sensor holders.
Also have very intermittent sensor operation full red bar when I stop at lights or give way sign's etc. This has been going on from the first day and unable to find an answer. Have ordered 2 new sensors from USA but stuck in the mail since
17-04-18 was hoping to swap them out to see if a sensor is faulty. Will update when I finally get the parts and install in the bar.

Im tempted to try aftermarket sensors when they slide in from the front of the bullbar instead of the factory rear mounted through the bull bar. I would imagine this be the solution to the intermitent false alerts.

Something like this orange one....
