Default Thermostat on XJ

hey guys can anyone tell me how you can access the bottom bolt on the thermostat housing on an XJ cause it is nicly tucked away behind the belt and down under te housing itself, any idea on an easy access point would be nice!

Just did mine last w/end, yeah a socket with a short extension will do it. Else, take off the fan belt so that it isn't in the way. You may also need to back off the screw on the bracket that holds the metal lines that pass in front of the thermo housing so you can pull those lines back a bit.
