@Benn0 - Thanks for link, submitted the details.

And yes it is becoming apparent more and more Diesel are being effected.
I should have the diagnosis by end of week and see where too from there. I'm currently in the process of sourcing parts external to the Dealers as a "just in case" that is most likely to be the case.

I was advised that keeping the receipts and proof for a future recall, but that is just not good enough.

every manufacturer has lemons and recalls, for some reason jeep cops unwarranted shit .

I'll be sticking to my wk2 for a long time, despite it's few shortcomings

I heard the Diesels have DPF issues as well, according to my dealer here in Midland.

You forgot to mention LR.

Unfortunately what we think they ought to do, and what they're likely to do, could be two different things. One thing's for sure, dealers aren't dishing out sympathy or empathy, they don't want to know!

Customer Service will tell you anything to get you off the line.

Was it here or "the garage" where someone said they were given a date for navigation updates to be made available. I joked that they should put it in their calendar.

Unfortunately what we think they ought to do, and what they're likely to do, could be two different things. According to FCA, dealer repairs / oem parts will be looked at more favourably for claim when a recall is issued. One thing's for sure, dealers aren't dishing out sympathy or empathy.

That was in 2014, they updated the software and fixed it. Prados currently have a dpf issue, and it doesn't look like the fix is as simple.

LRs have the same issues everyone else does, electronics and transmissions....
