I think it is, but i can check with the scanner. There is also a measurement for the airspace between sensor and tone ring which is 1.4mm and i think i have about 5mm.

On another note, when it got dark i was able to point the car down the road to check out the Ebay $70 22" light bar. Worked great and good enough for me.

Pic below is with the light bar switched on.....

I just checked and they are down to $64 dollars now with free wiring kit and free post.. can't go wrong...

And if your observant, you will notice odo sitting on 323,000 clicks.. motor still sounds like new...

Cheers,

Is the sensor mount still rigid Alex? & is the face of the sensor the correct distance away from the slotted wheel it reads off. Check the face of the sensor for damage, I vaguely remember filing them smooth would sometimes revive a damaged one.

Just saw your new post Alex, 5mm is way too much. I can't remember what the correct gap was, nor what we used for a feeler gauge, probably the cardboard off a smoke packet. Too close also gave bad readings, as did mounts that weren't rigid enough, though my experience only comes from heavy vehicles with non factory speed sensor locations.

Will do Oldon.. the face was getting smacked and may be damaged as it was bent right out of position by the wheel stud. I will pull it, clean it and set air gap and see how we go.

Thats just the haze from being so close to camera.. optical illusion. They are the blue leds and not that "in your face" in reality. I was also going to go the white dial faces but that's another day...

Where did you order the yellow stuff pads from and how much?

Got the EBC Yellowstuff pads from Amazon.. they deliver these to Oz. Not cheap, about $180 AU delivered, but worth it.
