The update xj has a better condenser from memory
Not tube and fin (inefficient)

Belt spacing was referring to the offset of the H/B, the LS engine uses 3, short medium, & long. The Novak conversion gear mostly refers to the 5.3 engine which from what I can gather is the truck engine. Which runs the long offset H/B. They list the 3 kits for the A/C conversion, which one do you have???
If you decide to run truck spacing your original water pump is OK as you can get a spacer kit to take it out to truck spacing. Which will have a provision for the steam vent pipe which will need addressing.

I dont think he's running the truck spacing ,nearly sure its standard

this is the kit I got
Kit ACG3-2C, A/C compressor relocation assembly for GM Gen. III Camaro / GTO spacing w/compressor

Not 100% sure without checking but that maybe truck spacing i.e. long.. you will soon know when you mount it and line it up with H/B

You maybe right mate, as its the 2nd one listed of 3, would suggest medium

He's gonna send a picture when he gets the belt on , he's just about got the wiring sorted out by the sounds of it and he's gonna look at swapping the alternator and A/C around

I'm thinking thats why he had the A/C bracket milled to keep it standard
