My 2000 TJ does it all the time and it was annoying me so bad that I was getting ready to buy a new replacement part because I thought it was worn.

That was until I bought the JK and realised at the first round-about that there was nothing wrong with my TJ, it is just a Jeep thing.

It isn't "a jeep thing"

https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sour...%20too%20early

It is a "quirky car thing".

Its a Dodge Nitro thing too.
The Mrs has got the hang of it.She justs hold it in position as she goes around the roundabout.
It makes a terrible crunching sound, but as she says, what are you meant to do.

Used to p155 me off but now I don't even think about it.
It's second nature now to just hold the indicator stalk on roundabout (and I learned to ignore the horrible crunching sound).
Might be a bit more troublesome if I had a manual but no trouble for those of us with auto's.

The USA doesn't use roundabout's that's probably why.

I don't like the crunching sound plus it's bound to kill your clock spring so I just hit it again as soon as the wheels are straight.

It won't hurt the clockspring.

honestly, if the crunching ended up breaking the self-cancelling tabs, I don't think I'd even care. I think it would improve things!
