That is the exact unit I am looking at due to its very small footprint.
I quite like your aerial location as well.

Did you use a standard bracket?
The ultimate value pack came with everything. I didnt use the bracket though as I needed to bend it and was of hard steel. Couldnt do it with a hammer

Instead I went to super cheap and picked up a $12 "angled" bracket and hammered away.

20mins later and wallah. Took out the old spirit level and made sure it sits levelled. Let me know if you need anymore pics.

I picked up the unit on gumtree at a bargain on sunday, new still sealed.

Excellent unit so far that ive tested.

Imaz,

Do you have an image of where you ran your antennae cable into the vehicle? I'm trying to work out how to do this easily and without having to drill holes.

Cheers,

I know it's not exactly the same, but I needed to put a PMR in my 2011, so I got one where the facia is able to be placed remotely.

I mounted the main unit in the rear, behind the trim, in the same side as the fuel filler. There is a nice bit of room there, and in my case, it put it nice and close to the antenna.

I then made a pair of stainless steel brackets up, that fit onto a pair of screw that hold the radio in, and run round the gap between the central facia, and the dash., where the front of the radio then mounts.

Sorry, for some reason, this one has been on the Christmas Spirit, and won't stand up.

It might give you some ideas.

Too much stuffing about for me I left my full din unit in shed and went for one where I just fitted it under the seat, silastic to the carpet, power from centre console and hand piece sits just behind the shifter, double sided tape holds the clip in place. Aerial cable runs thru firewall on passenger side.............

GME XRS connectmounted on the top shelf of the glove box, with a flush mounted rj 45 plug on the passenger side of the console. Can plug the unit when required.
