bitch hey
is the frame rail deformed? (like both mine)
will the tailgate open? (the white one that got rammed wont)
my mate the bodyshop man, reckoned he could strech them out
reckon that "trail" is for purpose-built rock-crawling machines
bet you wouldnt see a 70k Ford Ranger tackling it

spare tyre
Finally swapped the spare wheel from the Left side to the right.
No more blind spot when I look to the left rear corner.
Why Jeep couldn't be bothered to do this on the 00,01 XJ amazes me.
Also fitted the 4 hole bosch injectors last week. Seems a little bit more responsive, the old ones had done 255,000km's so I guess it was to be expected.

I ordered some rugged ridge rubber mats. I am off-roading my XJ after many years, and need something that will contain the mess that connects to my own treads...

some time ago, I replaced all the internal globes with LED
reason = no more flat battery if leave on overnight
only cost a few $
however, the 2 x overhead ones started flickering like flouros, piss me off,
so i took them out
had a look today, overhead units have 12 leds in 3x4 strips
its only one "strip of 3" that is turning on/off rapidly
stabbed one diode in face with the test light pointer !
shut down that strip..3 of 4 still good, no more annoying flicker (for now)
