Default Commander crash tests

One of our readers recently sent me this link to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash test results for the 2007 Jeep Commander.

While the vehicle wasn't tested for side-crash survivability, it did score 5 (out of 5) stars for both the driver and passenger in the front-crash test. There is also a link to the short, 6-second video of the front-crash test as well.

The Commander was also rated for "chance of rollover in single-vehicle crash" - it scored what looks to be about 23% (3 stars) - right in the middle of the range for sport utility vehicles.

Check out the test video here.

The only other 2007 models that have been rated are the Grand Cherokee (5 stars) and the Liberty (mostly 5 stars).

Hey JB, change the title! Got the wrong Jeep.

how does 3 stars compare to Pootrols and Landbruisers?
