Dirt every day has done a cummings in a tj. You can use the 4.0 gear box with adapters to the fly wheel. Watch the video on youtube he drives it under 12 feet of water its a good episode gives alot of info and im pretty sure advanced adapters do it.

I love diesels but there isn't much for Jeeps on this. The 4BT requires from memory a 2 inch body lift and although cheap to buy in the US, not so cheap here. There are adapters for some VW diesels also. Some people don't like the 4BT's as a bit agricultural with it really shaking the car, but that to me would be the best part

Just a pity nothing for what we can get easy here like an Izuzu donk etc.
