Default Post '97 XJ's

Do post '97 XJ's come standard with CD player, can you fit a snorkel, are there any problems with suspension or exhaust mods? Thx all.

Hi,

Post 97 XJ had optional 6 CD stacker under rear seat base, maybe standard on limited model.

You can get snorkel for petrol model, last I heard diesels are still roll your own ( I did).

Some say post 97 XJs are more prone to driveline vibes when you raise them, otherwise almost identical to pre 97. Slight difference in handbrake cables etc.

Post 97 XJ have fewer choices for aftermarket rear bar, tyre carrier etc. eg Kaymar bar doesn't fit.

dirtjeep were on the central coast are you from as i m on the central coast pre 97 jeeps are more prone to vibes because the changed from a seal inthe back of the transfer case to a bush style kaymar rear wheel carriers can be adpted if your good at fabricating as for snokels they are available for the petrol chero through to 99 i think they may fit even the later models as well
