The subject of cooling an XJ can get pretty heated here.

By too far apart, I meant to say, the bloody radiator is 10mm taller than standard!! I toyed with the idea of going with no isolators... but thought otherwise...
It's over 50mm wide. Length isn't a problem, and hoses line up.
From the centre of locating pins, to the front of the radiator is 35mm. Standard is 20mm.
If I wasn't in a rock and hard place, I would have given the vendor an enema with the damned thing, sideways!!!!!! But I needed the car on the road.
So, as it sits, the top isolator mounts are slotted. The A/C condenser is deleted. The lower mounts for the shroud and e-fan WERE in the correct position, just too bloody low, leaving said shroud and e-fan swinging in the breeze from their respective top mounts.
I had to remove two big tabs from the top outermost section of the rad, that protruded forwards. The six studs, three on either side for the top isolators and A/C condenser mounts, are too long and need trimming. Also, don't use the nylock nuts, standard on most other radiators. I now only have one nut holding the DS isolator!!!
Alloy studs are soft.
Honestly, I don't expect this radiator to last 12mths. When it shits itself I'll gladly put my foot through it, and purchase a copper brass jobbie!!!!!
I installed a 195° thermostat, new waterpump, and hoses. So far it holds at approximately 93°, without the use of the e-fan. Will see how things are on hilly terrain, stop and go traffic or soft sand....
