Hi all I have to replace the the front lower ball joints on my 07 CRD Grand Cherokee
Do I have to replace the complete arm with ball joints have been quoted nearly $375 per side parts alone or can I just replace the ball joints without the arm
Have searched the the forums and parts sites some sites sell the ball joints on their own or with the arm
what is the best option and which is the best after market ball joint can they just be replaced without the arm and if so is it a major job are they a screw fit or press fit any info would be greatly appreciated $375 per side seems ridiculous
They are a press in. You can get the balljoints pretty cheaply, easy job to do. Check your bush where the lower strut bolt mounts, if this is worn you are better off doing the whole arm.
