Transfer case lock up

As the title suggests, does 4H lock the transfer case or not, I wouldn't think so but they advise not to use 4H when on hard surfaces

3.8 ltr petrol

Reason being my son has broken a rear axle which destroyed the bearing mounting plate on his Eaton locker and no spare parts are carried in Australia by Eaton WTF

As he has 4.88 gears we can put the original centre back in less the crown wheel and drive it home, 350 k's

Wrangler has part time 4x4, which means front to back is locked up when in 4H or 4L. Its not recommend. You could remove the rear driveshaft and put it in 4H. You'll then have a front wheel drive Wrangler!
