All good guys, nothing wrong with a bit of on topic chatter! I looked at the dirtbound trays but I've always liked the extra security of the trail gear style battery holder. Interesting idea for the extra battery but what would you do for a airbox?

With the LS1 I have a little scope. Directly to the TB or a bend or two to navigate the extra battery.

Yep I know the one you mean and I'd say that would work with a bit of tweeking. You might just have to move the ecu inside the cabin or back up near the brake booster for some extra room. I've got a pod filter with pre cleaner down in that corner already so I'm kinda out of space for a second battery under the bonnet.

So today has consisted of me sitting sitting on the lounge in the air con drinking beer and making new cables. I ended up making the full set including the earth strap from the firewall and the charge wire from the alternator. Hopefully when the kids go to bed and it's cooled down a little I can venture outside and fit them.
