Couldn't stand driving her for even a day all stock and virgin like that. Had to pop her cherry and get some lift. Don't want to be mistaken for an 18 year old p plater.

Cheers for that, I just had a look. That armour package they're offering is good value. Might have to take a trip into Murchison for the hook up.

X2 for Uneek4x4.

I'm running the Uneek front bar (12 months) and rear bar (six months) plus the tyre carrier - no complaints. Everything fits perfectly and the powdercoating is top quality.

Dave also does brackets to mount a Hilift on the carrier:

In preparation to fitting the tow bar, I moved the number plate to use a US JK plate holder...a bit of stuffing around, but I think it looks good.
In NSW, we can now order USA sized plates....so I had my old plates remade in the new USA size format.

At the front, tore off that aweful plastic monstrocity that Jeep says we need to have here in Aus, and fitted a Uneek front bar. Winch to come tomorrow.

Set up Uneek's Flip Plate holder.
I didn't like the idea of using the alloy number plate as a handle when I wanted to move it, so I cut out some alloy treadplate to use as a plate mount. Another advantage....it covers up the whole winch recess in the bar.

If it doesn't flip high enough, I can trim a little more off the top edge of the treadplate so it'll flip up a bit more.

I also cut off the bottom of the rear bumper and fitted the Smittybilt (DBOR) two bar. Once I got the bumper cleaned up, it takes about 10 minutes to fit the bar....eays as.

Tomorrow, its winch time.
