There is nothing wrong with Jeep rubbers, most of the problem stems from owners not cleaning the dirt and dust from them on a regular basis.
Everytime you wash your Jeep, wipe down the door seals with a cloth dipped in the wash suds.
It also doesn't hurt to condition them 2-3 times a years with a seal conditioner like Gummi Pflege.

Small things like this make a big difference to how well they work.
This may sound strange but if your door seals feel soft and slightly moist like a dog's nose, then they are in a good condition.
