WHO has classified diesel fumes as carcinogenic.

Quote “In fact, long-term exposure to diesel exhaust particles poses the highest cancer risk of any toxic air contaminant evaluated by OEHHA. ... Diesel exhaust can irritate the eyes, nose, throat and lungs, and it can cause coughs, headaches, lightheadedness and nausea.“

I would leave the DPF as required by Law.

That might be true but it's been known that diesel fumes are carcinogenic for a long time now. I wouldn't be surprised if the diesel engine is banned within the next 10 - 15 years if not sooner.

True. I think I read somewhere that Toyota is going to cease diesels in Landcruisers. I know AUS is a small market so we will get whatever Europe and USA dictate in emissions Laws.

It will be interesting as a lot are dropping diesels from the line up and not just dinky cars but commercial types, maybe the V8 is on a comeback...

Decades ago the Jet Fuel I handled was and still is cancer causing, along with most of the stuff I worked around, nothing has changed even now, just more paperwork and someone employed to fill it out the data sheets but the stuff is still being used and an extra pair of gloves...........

Of course its all city centric along with EPV's ....When these EPV's start touring out west I'm going to carry a few Gennys with me and make a killing rescuing flat cars as the infrastructure isn't their to charge them and won't be for decades, hell you can't even add an AC in some places as the power isn't there....

Being politically involved, I don’t believe practicalities come into the equation. It’s all about money.

Once the ‘leaders of industry’ are ready to switch over from fossil fuels to green (or so called green), it will happen without any discussion with us.
