Since the body is rubber mounted to the chassis it can and does move around on it. If you weld the tube flares to the front and rear bars which are attached to the chassis, they will crack away from the body. Other alternative is to remove the rubber body mounts and attach the body directly to the chassis. This will stop the cracking issues, but will make for a shocking ride!
You will also probably find there is a small amount of flex in the chassis, so you will still prob end up with the body cracking anyway.
