Slightly off topic... but here goes...

The whole 'road registered' thing is a joke. Look at the trucks in Tuff Truck... someone is obviously kidding.

Again, I'm not complaining (I own one of these 'jokes'!) - just an observation.

Agree there FT, Although I feel there are really only a handfull that are really oversteping in the mark......
Gonads old buggy,
Balsacks thing,
RedBull,
PGS tractor,
And probably Dobins.....

But I have no beef with these rigs - but I do sorta feel that overstep the line - again just personally.....

Oh yeah one other thing - In terms of aftermarket product development and presentation - I feel the TTC style of event is bloody important.....

I mean the average punter was ample to look at our rig for example and 99% of it was available over the counter (bumpers, skids, suspension, rollbars driveline, diff bits) and people could fit to their rig....the same can not be really said with the buggy class......

So I'd love to see more of the aftermarket better use the TTC style of events....And hence as a vendor I'd like to see the TTC style continue too....

Well the more I speak to people about involving full bodied rigs in Werock the more people are interested, but the way its going to go it will be like the F1's, Werock will be ONLY moonbuggies.

Q. Is that what is the expectation of Werock??

I enjoy watching the Rockcrawling DVD's from the states that show all the styles of vehicles, from mild to wild competing against the granite.....not just the top end vehicles.

I guess the way WE Rock is headed is following the successful formula from the USA... that's just the way it 'feels' to me anyway.

They are not all moon buggies, but they are certainly all now tube buggies of some description. Remember that WE Rock is the 'World Extreme Rockcrawling' championships... it is not just an Aussie series of comps.

The goal (I think) is to be competitive on the world stage against the other countries involved in WE Rock... if we hope to do this then we simply have to take note of what the others are doing, and what works best.

I still think that we are talking about a different series... a TTC series for example. Otherwsie it will be tough to set different courses for different rigs.

Fair enough if WE Rock doesn't want to cater for our sort of vehicle.

Perhaps we should approach the TTC organisers as some people have suggested in this thread and make a series with 4 or 5 rounds.

A key element in comps is going to be the road registration of vehicles. I think what we're looking for are hardcore comps for bodied vehicles where road registration is not required.

FT fair comments there, I guess I am not merly picking on moon buggies but more Jungle Gym vehicles in general.

Maybe XRCC will take off again this year and run its Outlaw class and may suit what I am getting at here.

Damn now I have to build a Tube Buggy........pffft think I will leave that one for a few years.
