Default First experience with Death wobble.. please help.

Holy sh!t, let me start there, 100kms on the freeway and then Death wobble kicks in, scared the hell out of me..

So I've recently added 2.5" Springs and shocks to my 2002 4.7HO WJ, it was immediately following this modification that Death wobble started, I didn't get an alignment right away, it's in the shop as I write this, I figured that will be the cause, but the guys doing the work don't think it will help with the wobble.. as I've no experience with it and there doesn't seem to be a common fix, I'm asking other WJ owners for their experience and assistance if possible..

What did you do to fix your Death wobble?

Thanks in advance.

Ye, my jk was perfect with a 3.5" lift and 34's,

the steering components and Bush's are all good, the alignment guys thought it could be the cheese cutters causing the issue, but I've never heard that before?

Cheese cutters?

If everything is in good condition and it still wobbles after the alignment, I'd try a different tire pressure.

Cheese cutters = skinny tyres 😀

Ye, they thought tyres are the issue, he said get some wider tyres and it should be fine.

Check that none of your tyres have any bulges on them and that you haven't bent a rim somewhere. It's sometimes hard to spot. Bulges could be on the tread or on the side walls as well
